MEMPHIS, Tenn. - After sitting dormant for years, new life has been given to the building which used to host Melrose High School.
Thanks in part to $3M in federal funding, the building on Dallas Street has been transformed into the Orange Mound Library, set to hold it's grand opening on Friday, April 26.

Organizers hope the building will become a "community hub" in Orange Mound.
Anyone with school photos or mementos from the old Melrose High School is encouraged to bring them to the library so that they can be digitized into the digital archives.
The grand opening, held between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at 843 Dallas Street, will also have genealogy programs and activities for children available.
